What is Program Repatriasi Migran

Malaysian Government has announced the program in aiding and urging foreign workers or migrants who have been working and staying in Malaysia to take on the program of voluntarily return to their home country starting from March 2024 to December 2024, for 10 months. The government is expecting a total of nearly 300 000 or 400 000 illegal workers to participate in this program. This initiative by the government is carried out to control and track down illegal immigrants in the country.

Undocumented foreign individuals are urged to take on this program of returning to their country of origin without facing prosecution or any legal repercussions, provided they posses valid travel documents and a one-way ticket. Applicable to those who have settled their compounds for various immigration offenses, such as overstaying and entering Malaysia without proper travel documents.

For those with absence or lack of their legal documents, they may consult with their respective embassy to acquire the required paperwork. Immigrants are simply required to go to any Immigration office, bringing their passport or legal travel pass and within 14 days upon their registration at the Immigration office, they must depart home. They can book an appointment through the STO, or Sistem Temujanji Online for the process.
